The End ??

We woke up to our final sunrise on the boat.  Jean and I made mimosas with the last of our Prosecco from last night and sat on the front of the boat waving goodbye to the neighbors. Skip (our neighbor from two boats down) came by and took photos of us and we gave him all of our leftover fruit and Vodka. Sad to leave....and very surprised to find how comfortable I feel living on this dock. Who knows what the future might have in store!

On the Brat the clock was permanently set on 5pm....it's always 5 o'clock somewhere!    #BratLife

Enjoy the last few photos we took on the way back to Miami. We bought KL pie #4 at a gas station ('nuff said).  KL pie #5 from the Island Grill was the winner!

Toes vs boat cleats (the boat won)

Pioneer Cemetery (Islamorada)

Very interesting history on the beach at Islamorada...the cemetery of the families that settled this Key.  Must also research the Labor Day hurricane of 1935 to get the whole story (the angel statue was blown across the highway).

Last Day in Key West

Spent time at the beach...did tourist-y things in town...chased a few more chickens...saw the Hemingway House and the Southernmost point in the continental U.S. (Google this for more info)....and had another fun night on the boat with our marina neighbor (we decided we should teach him how to do the Tootsie Roll for his daughter's wedding) and we danced to the Gap Band (Sharon can drop the bomb!)....had some awesome shrimp at the Hogfish Bar....and had KL pie #3.

Sunrise this morning

Driving the Yacht...Not!

More photos

Check back tomorrow  for a special surprise from Jean & J L...

It is sometimes a challenge uploading photos to the blog. Blogger and the iPad don't always play well together.

On Island Time Today

Went sailing & kayaking today and had drinks tonight with our yacht club neighbor Skip. Our sailboat crew was awesome...thank you to Angela, Kayla and Dale (a.k.a. Jake from State Farm).

You must Google the history of the wild chickens roaming Key West. We spent some time chasing them around trying to get photos.

P.S. I made a key lime pie on the boat today but we ate all of it before we could get any photos.
